Security Challenges in the Mediterranean Between the Dynamic of History and the Present: a Geopolitical Approach
Abstract:
Mediterranean if not a thousand thing at the same time …? It is not a single scene of nature, but a myriad of scenes, it is not one sea but several successive seas, it is not a particular civilization, but a collection of civilizations accumulated one on top of the other, has grown on the banks since ancient civilizations, many of them Pharaonic Greek and Roman, and Islamic Arabism, and the various major powers that relied on power. Over the course of human history, the Mediterranean was not merely a water barrier between two adjacent geographic regions, but it was always a dividing zone between two distinct civilizations.
